WJWC strongly condemns break into headquarters of Yemeni Journalists Syndicate in Aden

The Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) expresses its strong condemnation of the UAE-backed separatist Southern Transitional Council’s Security Belt Militia for breaking into the headquarters of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate in Aden and stationing inside it.

While the WJWC is showing its profound solidarity with the branch of the Journalists Syndicate in Aden due to repeated attacks, the most recent of which took place on last September 20, it calls on the relevant authorities in Aden Governorate to ensure the necessary protection for journalists and press institutions, and to hold accountable the elements responsible for the latest attack.

Women Journalists Without Chains calls for solidarity with the Aden branch of the Syndicate of Journalists, and for denunciation of the continuous violations the STC militias on the official and private press and media institutions in Aden Governorate. In this context, the WJWC also renews its solidarity with journalist Ahmed Maher abducted in jails affiliated with the STC militias against the continued physical and psychological torture on him.
